Construction…food for the body and soul
We live in a new complex with 7 completed houses…..many more are going to be built
and we have the opportunity to befriend the 25 construction workers…..
The first day we served food, they were all hesitant to come to our “yard”….
Then we said the word”Gratis” or “Free” and they all came running!
We have served Gleaners soup, frijoles, pan and we hope to make
pizza for them one of these days!
…building rock cages…these are put along the river bank to
hold back the water from eroding the dirt….
this river does not smell so great…
…most of this trench was dug by hand…
…enjoying frijoles (black beans)…
…carrying a pail of cement…
…working on the cobblestone street….
…how many days to finish the street??? 10 days…
…one of our security guard’s sons made it home after school
to have some soup….
”Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.”
