Dreams Do Come True….

…Meet Carmen, 14, who had a dream to attend grade 7….

The only reason we met her was because she is part of the family that received a chicken coop.

When her father makes $30.00 a month he is barely able to put tortillas and beans on the table

to feed his family.  How could he send her to school, pay for uniforms and books????

This is where Love Guatemala’s student sponsorship program comes in and

we had the privilege of taking Carmen to school, getting her registered, new uniforms

and books…..she was in a ” dream” with a smile on her face as LG helped her make her

dream come true.  There are only 3 of the 12 that were in her class that have this opportunity.

..when we got to Carmen’s elementary school two of the students were

busy cleaning the courtyard…..

…someone’s excited to see us!…..

..can I see my picture?????…

…our first class that we gave school supplies to….

the kids were in awe as they opened the bags of notebooks, pencils, crayons,

pencil crayons, glue(although one little man thought the glue stick was

lip gloss!), markers, scissors and a ruler.

..the grade 6 teacher….

there are 17 students in this class that all have dreams about continuing their

education…..would you consider helping these students in 2012???

The cost is $300.00/year

…Jose wants to go on to university

…these gals have dreams of being nurses, teachers and doctors….

We encouraged this class of 17 not to give up, to keep studying,

to have a strong faith in God as they were created in His Image.

They are the future of Guatemala!

…a bunch of happy “campers”…

Miguel is explaining to the children how they were made in God’s image…

they are children of a King…..

wow…I am loved by God!

“Life is full of beauty. Notice it. Notice the bumble bee, the small child, and the smiling faces. Smell the rain, and feel the wind. Live your life to the fullest potential, and fight for your dreams” Ashley Smith
