Our Last Deliveries…..or Not…..

….our last visit to Chimixiya before we return to Canada….

the moms of the students that Love Guatemala sponsors made an early lunch for us….

They sang for us and told us how much they appreciate the fact that their children

can continue their education…..

…purchasing chicks for the long ride to Quiacquix…

2.5 hours of cheeping in the truck!

…when we arrived at Miguel and Juanita’s house, she was busy making

a corte….a skirt…it takes 20 people to make the fabric…this was just the beginning…

Her granddaughter is learning the art….

…can you see a pattern forming?…

…just a few of the many colours of the corte…

…the hands of love and survival…..

…Miguel builds cabinets to feed his family and help the radio ministry….

…the road to deliver the chicken coop….

…the home of the widow also dyes cortis…..this one is 40 feet long….

It will make 5 cortis……

it is a very long trek up hill all the way!

…serving soup at the medical clinic…..a great building that

has not been used for months or years……

…enjoying Gleaners soup….

We did not tell the village that we were coming but word travelled

fast when they saw our truck……

…please may we have a 2nd and 3rd bowl of soup…

…OK, who left some soup in their bowl????…

…handing out groceries….

  1. I loved the one of the little boy. And the road with the trees on the side. (Oh and the dogs waiting for the scraps!) I am sure your hearts are overflowing with all you have seen and experienced. Blessings on you .
