The Land of the Tarahumaras….VBS

…meet our Tarahumara Jesus….Josue’..

when he spoke he spoke in one of the Tarhumara dialects…

Vacation Bible School started anytime after breakfast and went until lunch

…Sara starting off the week with an illustration of teamwork/friendship…

Our story was about the friends who needed

to bring their sick friend to Jesus to be healed…

…Day 2….raising of Lazarus…

…reaching the tomb with Mary, Martha and some little friends…

…..and Lazarus exits the tomb….

…Mary, Lazarus, Martha and Jesus…

…”My heart was black with sin, until the Saviour came in,

His precious blood I know, has washed me white as snow,

and in His Word I’m told, we’ll walk the streets of gold,

Oh, wonderful, wonderful day, He washed my sins away.”

The children made a “wordless” bracelet with the colours listed in the song…

they made a black heart colourful….Jesus gives us forgiveness and joy

They received a  colouring book that gives them

an overview of the scriptures from

Genesis to resurrection…salvation…

…Jesus chose his disciples…

…the invitation was given and people responding…

Not, children but teens and adults….families…..how awesome is that!

…thank you, Pedro aka Peter, for explaining this story so that people could understand…

….we had the best place for teaching….God’s great outdoors!…

…what happens when you have 160 water balloons????

..Pedro, I thought you had a powerful jeep?????…

…getting organized…

…I am ready to get wet!…

…who is my target???…

…or would you rather stay dry and play volleyball?….

..or play horse shoes…

…thank you, John, for making this happen….

“A Godly Leader finds strength by realizing his weakness,

finds authority by being under authority, finds direction by laying down his own plans,

finds vision by seeing the needs of others, finds credibility by being an example,

finds loyalty by expressing compassion, finds honor by being faithful,

finds greatness by being a servant.” ~ Roy Lessin
