Fun, Food and Flowers

…we needed to buy school supplies for 6 of our sponsor students…

It took alot longer than we had anticpated…

…because it was lunch time Philip decided to go to the only

“restaurant” in Patzcia….he ordered cheese burgers and fries for all of us…

…when we got the food the students looked at it, looked again…

and then our Canadian brain kicked in and they had never seen or eaten

a cheese burger and fries!  Tell that to your kids!

One of the gals dug in and ate hers quickly…either she was enjoying it or

she was being very polite.  The rest slowly ate theirs and some took some of it home…..

….while we were waiting for our food, Judy was speaking to the driver of

this truck…he told her that if one more person got on his truck the front end

would lift up!  Three more got in and off they went!

…just waiting for a bus….

…meet some more new students…

Christian is finishing grade 11 and then will go on to university to study

micro engineering…

…Teresa is 21 and finished grade 1-6 in one year with a 92% average…

She will be attending grade 7 and her dream is to become a doctor…

…Eliseo is in the education degree program so that he can start his own

free school for kids in his village…

…don’t try this at home…

If the truck braked this young man is wearing a piece of it in his face!

…the new concrete highway past Tululche’…

…ever feel like you are between a rock and a hard place?????

…is it safe to eat here?  do you take the Alka-seltzar before you eat or after???

….the trees of the field will clap their hands….

…arriving at the pastor’s house in Quiacquix…

thank you pastor for helping us unload the food…

…Philip “these 100lb sacks seem heavier than last time…”

…700 lbs of beans and 48 litres of oil…

that should make a few meals!

….the pastor has a small tienda to supplement their faith-based income…

…we were rejoicing with Francisca who was healed of diabetes….

Thank you Lord…

Sometimes the best way to receive a gift is to give it away.

Because the only things we really have — are the things we hand over.
