Soup and Water= Health

…our friends, Diego, Mariela, Fredy and Desi work in Santiago Zomora…

They give families concrete floors, plants for gardens, school supplies, etc.

They asked us if we would consider serving soup to one of the schools….

YES!

This is their team with nurses from the US…

…waiting in line to see the nurses…

…who is going to do what…

Mariela….taking names, ages, etc

Diego….weigh and measure

Fredy….helping with the soup

Nurses…you know what to do

Desi….giving instructions

…did you see any needles????

….serving Gleaners soup…

..this is the grade 6 class…

we noticed that Gorilla Snot (hair gel) has been used this morning!

…the Mayor came to meet the Canadians,

enjoy some soup and hand out school supplies…

…we had some soup left over so we delivered it to another school…

…from our pot to yours…

Then it was off to deliver a water filter….

How many men does it take to carry a water filter????

…we never know where, how long, how rough or how high,

the path will be to carry a water filter….

…Fredy “I am dead!…you said it was heavy but

this was HEAVY”…I need an Incaparina!

…pretty…

“Felipe, what are you doing?

Putting in crushed rock….”

…washing the sand…

…the boys made runways so that the water could water the flowers

and corn….

…watching from afar…

…explaining how this all works…

…the happy water filter owners…

…Thank you Fredy and Diego for introducing us to this family….

 …the dad weaves table cloths….

A rare sight that a man would do the weaving….

…someone forgot to dust the coffee plants….

…is it ok if I have a drink or do my laundry????

“But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said,

“and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water?
