Working in the Community….

Because we do not pay rent for the soup kitchen building we

compensate by doing other things in the LLanos area where

the soup kitchen is located….like painting.  This fall we painted

not we as in Nery and Mario painted for 2 weeks.  The outside of the soup

kitchen, the inside and all the exterior walls of the market….even the

mayor came and thought it was “excellent”…  We provide pinatas, Christmas

gifts, community party food, vitamins and a host of other things…

We added two iron benches in memory of Philip….

These are just a few of Love Guatemala’s “crazy” people who

cook, paint, build and love on the people….

Mario, Nery, Claudia, Sandra, Cristina and Manuel

…Diego and Mariela

(she also makes the best choco bananos)

“Heroes didn’t leap tall buildings or stop bullets with an outstretched hand; they didn’t wear boots and capes. They bled, and they bruised, and their superpowers were as simple as listening, or loving. Heroes were ordinary people who knew that even if their own lives were impossibly knotted, they could untangle someone else’s. And maybe that one act could lead someone to rescue you right back.”
