Canadian Troop….

The Canadian team of 6 arrived to help construct a home for Humberto,

Maria and their two sons.  The second floor was completed, wiring and

plumbing were installed.  The walls were mudded, floor poured and

a short concrete patio was poured.

What a difference we have seen in Humberto in the last month.

Maria works his physio every day.  He wheeled into the house

and gave us a two thumbs up when we asked him if he liked

it.  We will purchase a new bed for them, mattresses for the

bunk beds for the boys, and a few shelves for both levels.

Thank you to Fredene, Norm, Monty, Barb, Wayne and Diana

for all the wheelbarrows of sand, gravel and dirt.  For all the

tiring and hot days that you worked so hard to help finish

the house…..bless you.

“It’s not enough to have lived. We should be determined to live for something. May I suggest that it be creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of person-kind, bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely.”
