We tried a new craft and it worked…..the kids had fun decorating

coffee mugs for their moms.  They sang, they told their moms why

they loved them, they ate cookies and each mom went home

with a flat of eggs (not your typical Mothers Day gift) but

when you are hungry, eggs are good.

I LOVE YOU, MOM

Love Guatemala Canada is privileged to receive a grant from a

Canadian family Foundation.  For the past 6 years, we have

provided a library to a village school that does not have a library.

This April the school was PAIN (pie een)….

It is a pre-kinder and kindergarten school of 98 children.

April was the month of Easter.  The Junior Leaders  served an Easter lunch to the seniors

at the Drop in Center, helping sort out clothing, books and school supplies.

The Junior Leaders also taught lessons, sang and prayed with the kids.

One of our lessons was about saying NO to Drugs and Alcohol.

Melvyn a Karate Sensei came in and spoke to the kids.

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. John Quincy Adams

While I was back in Canada the Junior Leaders took over Kid’s Fiesta.

They led worship, taught lessons and did a Valentines party

at the senior drop in center.  So when I came back it was so

good to see them still leading….their faith in Christ is strong

and they are using their gifts and abilities to further

His Kingdom….

For three days the ER Abroad Medical Mission team from

the US visited two villages and gave out diagnosis and

meds….the people were so grateful as they could not

afford to see the doctor or pay for a prescription….

Thank you to Brian, Billie, David, Bob, Carli, Alison, Josh, Dr. David

Dr. Josue, Brad, and our translators: Arnoldo, Diego and Andrea.

The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: “If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?” But… the good Samaritan reversed the question: “If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?” ~Martin Luther King, Jr.

In February the container of Gleaners soup left the Port of Vancouver

headed for Port Quetzal, Guatemala.

The container was loaded at FV Gleaners in Abbotsford but friends and

volunteers…..these Supermen loaded it in record time….

Blessings to you for your servant hearts….

The school in San Juan El Tizate is moving along block by block…

The parents, students and director are excited that they will have their

own school.

Thank you to so many that donated funds for this.  We are happy to also

hire a teacher so that Ricardo does not have to do it alone.
